Exclamation Why Is PayPal Collecting Photo ID's??? Up To No Good!

Paypal, the online payment company, is beginning to force its account holders to send a copy of their photo id or have their account closed. This is being done under section 326 of the Patriot Act. This act applies to banks/financial institutions and the opening of new accounts. Paypal has three or four levels of verifying who you are already in place. By requiring you to send a copy of your photo id they now know your race and age. Have you noticed that whenever someone wants to start some type of profiling they do it in the name of the Patriot Act.

If you have a paypal account log in and click the contact us link and there you will find a toll-free telephone number. Call the number and ask the customer service rep to explain their “Know Your Customer” policy.

If you haven’t yet, you will be asked to send a copy of your photo id soon.

Peace

They handle money for me. I'd expect them to want to identify me.

They can transfer large sums overseas. While I might not like it, wanting my ID in that context is reasonable.

There is vast precedent. When I was a kid, there was a machine at the supermarket that automatically took people's photos when they used checks.

If one wants anonymity, one will have to use cash.

Please note, these measures exist because we, as a Society allow criminals to wander free, and hostile nations to wage savage aggression. It's a defensive strategy for people who somehow decided that physical assertiveness is the province of our enemies, and never ourselves.
