The Cross and the Torah 7 | Acts 15 The Jerusalem Council | Hebrew Roots Debunked | 119 Ministries

I never knew there were so many misinterpretations of what is needed to be saved (John 3: 16-17)
So just beware out there and put on the armor of God.
full disclosure -this is my son in law doing the debunking.

The very heart of the Torah (typically known as the Pentateuch, by Christians)--the Decalogue (or Ten Commandments)--was "nail[ed]...to the cross," according to Colossians 2:14--in other words, abolished, as far as Christians are concerned.

No, that certainly does not mean that Christians are free to plagiarize themselves, steal, or murder (to name a few); all but the Fourth Commandment (concerning the Sabbath) were reiterated, in some form or another, in the New Testament.

It just means that the Old Testament teachings should not be cited as the proper source for our proscribing these things.

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me._____John 14:6

Paul to the Galatians:
8-11

Formerly, when you did not know God, you were slaves to those who by nature are not gods. But now that you know God—or rather are known by God—how is it that you are turning back to those weak and miserable forces[d]? Do you wish to be enslaved by them all over again? You are observing special days and months and seasons and years! I fear for you, that somehow I have wasted my efforts on you.

This is exactly what critics of Christianity don't get who complain that Christians are inconsistent when they ignore some things in the Old Testament.
