Default Make a Joyful Noise

My mother's favorite Psalm and one that my second grade teacher Mrs. Edins introduced me to as a song of Thanksgiving.

Quote:
Free Bible Commentary on Psalm 100 in simple English

We do not know who wrote Psalm 100 or when. Perhaps It was when they built the *temple again 80 years after the King of Babylon destroyed it. The temple was a special house for God in Jerusalem. The *temple had a wall all round it. Verse 4 tells people to say "thanks!" to God as they walk through the gates in this wall. The psalm tells everybody to come to the *temple and tell God how great he is.
the 100th Psalm :

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.

Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

Just wanted to share this thought:

God is able to supply all your needs. "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want."

I like what Corinthians says about love:

Quote:
Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, [love] is not pompous, it is not inflated, it is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury, it does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never fails.

haha, I was going to start a thread on the Thankful & Joyful passage but forgot I did already.
I guess it's my go-2 Thanksgiving Psalm.

Still worth repeating:

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.

Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we

ourselves; we are his people and the sheep of his pasture.

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be

thankful unto him, and bless his name.

For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting, and his truth endureth to all generations.

As we look toward this Thanksgiving Day, let us remember how much we have to be thankful for.
I get so bogged down in politics and health issues I sometimes forget I am so lucky. To be in a country where people can disagree freely, where people can make a living and I'm lucky to even be on this earth (several times over ). Lucky to have married the man I married, lucky my children are healthy and God fearing.
Praise be to the Lord because nothing good happens without Him.
