Now I don't want breast cancer linked to abortion but I do think at some point we need to put politics aside and get to the truth. Should this study be taken seriously? Seems like a legit publication to me and a fairly straightforward study. Breast cancer among young women is on the rise. I imagine delaying the age of first birth is a big factor. But if abortion is also a factor then that should be recognized regardless of the "political" war about abortion, shouldn't it?
There is one problem I find with that argument though and it is, if what I am doing will hurt me (trying to convince young women not to have an abortion because of personal risk to their lives) then I/you should reconsider doing it. When one gets beyond this selfish way of reasoning we will be a more caring and loving society….of course I am not holding my breath.

The right and proper thing is to do what is right even if I will not directly or personally benefit from my decision. But then that would mean one would need to know the difference between right and wrong, and have a desire to do what is right.

Saying that others SHOULD do something because it benefits another is a great idea, philosophically, but one is best off, IMO, dealing with science when discussing a controversy such as this; when duscussing medical linkages, anyway...
