After those supposedly "needful" things, they don't have enough money left to pay for birth control? It's you that persists in a fantasy world not me. Tell us now,at "what" age do we become "responsible"? In your fantasy world,we never become "truly" responsible regardless of age or financial ability.

Please don't tell me what I think.

I never said we never become responsible.

I said that college students are not responsible -- and by that I mean the ones in or near the normal age range for college, 17 to 23. With luck and a little guidance perhaps most of them will grow to be responsible adults but most of them are not there yet.

They play; society pays one way or another. You can pretend that is isn't so but you are wrong.

Considering you previously wrote this...

Telling someone they have a little fantasy going and then admonishing them for a rebuttal along the same lies is a little disingenuous...

If I understand you correctly you are criticizing me for saying that Spencer's solution was a fantasy and then asking him not to put words in my mouth.

I do not get your point.

Whores? Hmmm, now that you mention it, I guess I've known quite a few. Well, at least those I can verify, anyway.

Since I can verify that they were sluts, and putting om my little Lackluster thinking cap for a second and following through on this for a bit.....think lackluster, think .........I've come to the realization.........

OH MY GAWD -- I must be a whore, too!

Oh, wait a minute, I'm a guy.

A girl called me a whore once. Just cause I fvcked her boyfriend. Whatever. People with less opportunities tend to find the rest of us promiscuous.

That makes you a man-wh**e hon...You sl*t, you.

Idealogically Promiscuous
Exactly. It's always those pizza faced, grim countenanced, personality of your average artichoke types who wouldn't know what to do with a piece of ass if it was delivered shrink-wrapped with instructions that feel like it's their duty to look askance every time someone else has a little fun.

I can't stand the type that defaults to "slut" or "whore" instead of an intelligent discussion about human interaction from a moral/ethical standpoint. It's like, who here actually is bothered by some 35 year old who's never had a blowjob calling you a whore?

I'm not criticizing you for saying Spencer's solution was a fantasy at all...

What AM saying is that calling someone's solution a fantasy can be taken as not having respect for their opinion, so don't be surprised if you get the same in return...

You didn't do anything wrong or illegal...

My overall belief is this...

On a scale of 1-10 in terms of respect, if you throw out a 5, you'll most likely get a 5 in return...if you threw out a 9, you'd get a 9 back atchya...

Calling someone's solution a fantasy comes across as a 2...So don't get annoyed if the return volley comes back looking like a 2 also...

That's all I'm saying...

Thank you for the clarification.

IMO, making stuff up and pretending that it is what another poster said is a 0 minus.

I don't mind not having my opinion dis-respected. I am not here to seek approval from those I disagree with.

But at least disrespect my actual opinion and not some strawman.

This coming from YOU!..

I'm not pretending anything and I would never put words or for that matter, anything in your mouth. Under the law, they already "are" adults!

Your fantasy is in thinking that they should not be "required" to "act" like adults and make adult decisions. They have the money for cell phones, video games and iPods but they can't afford birth control pills??? You refuse to address this and I know why,it destroys your argument..

But you already did. When you made the following statement attributing a "fantasy" to me that I never said or even thought.

I think I did address it. But I will address it again. Perhaps I can rephrase it in a way that you find understandable.

You can not "require" anyone to act like an adult. What I think they "should" do is irrelevant. What they actually do is the only thing that matters in the real world.

Most college kids are not yet fully mature in their thinking and they will behave irresponsibly. To believe otherwise requires a suspension of belief in reality.

The resulting offspring from their irresponsible behavior will, in all likelihood, become a problem for society as a whole.

Therefore I would rather see the government pay for birth control pills than obstetric care, food stamps, foster care, etc. for the unwanted babies.

Was that any clearer?

They are legally adults, but we, with our insistence on abstinence only education, have failed to give them the success skills needed to make adult decisions.
