And then I continue reading posts in this thread and see Spence already said the very same thing I just did...

I wonder at the purpose of legislation that would bar anyone from lower priced drugs.
But, yeah, I'm with cnredd on this one. Although, I'm a little surprised someone besides me had the guts to call them whores. LOL

I simply do not want to hear the "lame" excuse that they cannot afford the $25.00. These "adults" chose what is important in their lives, why should we be burdened with their poor budget choices? The money IS there, they need spend it wisely and get some birth control.

Since birth control is not a priority in their budget because cell phone bills take up to much expendable cash,we should shoulder this cost? You have got to be kidding me..

Here is the question that I asked.

I am curious what you propose doing about the unwanted babies that will result from the lack of birth control.

Do you have a solution?

It is a real-world question about dealing with what is actually going to happen as a result of this policy change.

You gave me an answer from your ideal fantasy world.

The babies, Spencer, the babies.

What do you propose doing about them?

Whores? Hmmm, now that you mention it, I guess I've known quite a few. Well, at least those I can verify, anyway.

Since I can verify that they were sluts, and putting om my little Lackluster thinking cap for a second and following through on this for a bit.....think lackluster, think .........I've come to the realization.........

Exactly. It's always those pizza faced, grim countenanced, personality of your average artichoke types who wouldn't know what to do with a piece of ass if it was delivered shrink-wrapped with instructions that feel like it's their duty to look askance every time someone else has a little fun.

I can't stand the type that defaults to "slut" or "whore" instead of an intelligent discussion about human interaction from a moral/ethical standpoint. It's like, who here actually is bothered by some 35 year old who's never had a blowjob calling you a whore?

I'm sorry, mayhaps you did not see my answer and mayhaps you did! I have nothing against the use of birth control, you are attempting to move the goal post. I oppose public funding of birth control not it's usage.Women who prioritise paying their cell phone bills over paying for their birth control that they can well afford may in fact become pregnant! Their lack of poor judgement will indeed become our problem.

In a nanny society, these issues must be addressed but people have a different way of addressing them. Taking birth control is not 100% effective,we encourage adoption when the child is unwanted.

Again..I have no objection to the use of birth control. I believe that if these "adult" students can afford cell phones,iPods, video games and vehicles, they can "afford" birth control. It's all a question of "priorities"...

Nope. I was not moving the goal post at all. It is right where it always was.

We will pay for one thing or we will pay for the other.

Some "women" will inevitably make that poor choice as a direct result of this change in policy. And the resulting pregnancy will become our problem.

I just wanted to be sure that you were accounting for that in your little fantasy about personally responsible college students.

You are failing to address the fact that these are "adult" students who have "expendable" funds for cell phones,iPods, video games and vehicles. After those supposedly "needful" things, they don't have enough money left to pay for birth control? It's you that persists in a fantasy world not me. Tell us now,at "what" age do we become "responsible"? In your fantasy world,we never become "truly" responsible regardless of age or financial ability.

As stated in a previous post,I have no problem with "private" funding of FREE birth control to any adult who desires to protect themselves. I don't care if they put birth control in the gumball machines on the college campus! I just don't want to pay for it when they can pay for it themselves. Many of these "adults" are so "irresponsible" they would forget to take the free birth control pills and then we are right back where we stated.

I'm sorry,I see what these "adult" students spend their money on and what they prioritise in their budget. The term "needy" has become ambiguous in today's village of unaccountability and never ending excuses...
