Nancy Pelosi childishly insisted on interrupting the border patrol as they attempted to make a presentation explaining the need for the additional border security. Instead, she invokes emotion laden claims of immorality in a ridiculous attempt to justify opposing the border barriers she and other Democrat leaders formerly endorsed in an attempt to placate the far Left radicals ascendant in the party.
That's true. $5.7 billion won't build 2,000 miles of border wall or fencing but it will build walls and fencing where the Border Patrol would rather be using electronic surveillance equipment because it's effective in those areas and a wall isn't. Above all other additional measures the Border Patrol wants more boots on the ground. Boots on the ground will prevent far more illegal border crossings than a wall/fence without the boots on the ground to provide the security. Without the "boots" the wall/fence isn't even a barrier that would slow down the unlawful entry of those wanting to enter the United States.

As we also know the unlawful entry into the United States can be dramatically cut while actually reducing the costs by having refugees seeking asylum processed at a US port of entry in a timely manner. Over 100,000 "illegal" border crossings in the last year were refugees with children that wanted to immediately turn themselves in to apply for asylum. These were refugees that were not allowed to apply for asylum at a US port of entry and the backlog of those waiting to be processed has soared into the many thousands under Trump.

We can provide better border security and dramatically reduce the number of illegal border crossings by simply fallowing the Refugee Act of 1980 and our current immigration laws that grant asylum to refugees arriving at a US port of entry. The "Trump crisis" never existed before because prior administrations processed the refugee applications in a timely manner.

Based upon the corruption, brutality, inhumanity, immorality, dishonesty, and incompetence of the Trump administration the White House is the dirtiest house in America and there's no known cleanser that with remove the stains of the Trump Administration.
