Treating people who cannot pay drives up the costs for everyone else and incentivizes people to not try and get a job or do what's necessary to improve their financial situation. This government intervention which mandates that hospitals treat everyone has greatly contributed to the high costs of healthcare, because those who can pay are being stuck with high prices to subsidize those who don't. This will also prevent illegal invaders from getting free care and remove some of their incentive to cross our borders and to remain here.
