Obviously there needs to be something stated that is believed to be untrue or misleading before a submission of fact checking is worth doing. It would be rather stupid to submit something from the "opposition" that you know would be true because that would show up on their page if you do a Google Search for it. Verifying the truth of your opponent's statements probably isn't the best strategy for winning an argument.

So the Daily Caller is upset because they're getting slammed with making false and misleading statements. Why don't they clean up their act and stop making false and misleading statements? What's going on with the "liberal" sites has absolutely nothing to do with the Daily Caller's problem where a lack of honesty in "reporting" is being noted by the Google Fact Checker.
As documented in the article, Google's fact check is anything but accurate, fabricating statements they can savage. Like Google the assumption is the Left wing sites are assumed accurate, no fact checking needed.

To the demented Resistance zealot nothing could go wrong with censoring adversaries as fact checking while giving sympathetic sites a free pass.
