Default MSNBC Analyst Attacks Ivanka For Wearing ‘Girlie’ Dress At G20

No matter what a member of the Trump family does, the left will criticize them for it, no matter how ridiculous the allegations. Here's another criticism that is absurd: Ivanka wearing a "girlie" dress at G20 shows that women won't be taken seriously in the Trump administration.

Now, an MSNBC analyst is attacking Ivanka Trump.

Not for anything she’s said or done.

But for the outfit that she wore at the G20, which this style-maven decided was not appropriate.

From Washington Times:

MSNBC political analyst and self-described liberal feminist Joan Walsh slammed Ivanka Trump’s dress choice when she briefly sat in for President Trump at the G-20 summit in Germany, suggesting that the “incredibly ornamental” pink dress signaled the unserious role women will play in the Trump administration.

It was standard practice for aides to stand in for leaders when they step out, but media continued to kvell about it for days.

“I don’t mean to sound sexist, it can be dangerous to comment on what women wear, but the fact that she sat in for her father in a dress that was so incredibly ornamental was such a contradiction in terms,” Ms. Walsh told MSNBC host Thomas Roberts on Sunday, in remarks first flagged by Newsbusters.

“And I think that what we see is that in patriarchal, authoritarian societies, daughters have great value — they are property,” she said. “And the message that she is sending about her own value, about her place in the White House, and about the place of women in this administration, I think, are really, pretty frightening.”

Probably says a whole lot more about Walsh if she finds a pink dress “pretty frightening.”

“It’s a pink dress with big bows on the elbows — there’s something incredibly ornamental,” Ms. Walsh responded. “That’s not a dress that’s made for work. That’s not a dress that’s made to go out in the world and make a difference. That is a dress that is designed to show off your girliness, and, you know, God bless her, show it off, but don’t then tell us that you are crusading for an equal place for women at the table because you’re not.”

What qualifies as ‘girlie’ and it sounds might sexist to me. So first leap, the dress is ‘girlie’ and second leap, ‘girlie’ is wrong?
