The bill has NO CO-SPONSORS and has no hope of passing.
I can't help but wonder how much it would cost for the NRA to pay a legislator to "introduce" such a bill that has no hope of passing, and then the NRA sends out e-mails about the bill's existence (as above) which brings in donations for them...

There is NO "they".
To have a "they", you have to have MORE THAN ONE.
And in a congress that has a FEW HUNDRED PEOPLE, you have ONE solitary person who put up this legislation...
