You're back to trying to tell others what they think, eh?

Perhaps you should realize you're not good at it...
A July Washington Post-ABC News poll — before the latest disclosures reported by The Post — found fully 70 percent of Democrats and 77 percent of Republicans said the NSA's phone and Internet surveillance program intrudes on some Americans' privacy rights. What's more, Democrats and Republicans who did see intrusions were about equally likely to say they were "not justified:" 51 and 52 percent respectively. Nearly six in 10 political independents who saw intrusions said they are unjustified.

No. What you describe is NOT what the left wants.
When it comes to the government invading our privacy and ignoring fourth amendment requirements, there is a bipartisan politician effort. You'll notice that Bernie Sanders was the only politician to truly tackle stuff like this and make promises regarding addressing it.
The ACLU has been trying to fight things like this.
But perhaps in your book that makes them a right-wing organization?
“Labor is prior to, and independent of, capital. Capital is only the fruit of labor, and could never have existed if labor had not first existed. Labor is the superior of capital, and deserves much the higher consideration.”
~Abraham Lincoln
