One may be concerned, but in particularly to Christians band or no band we simply do what we know we should do.....keep on preaching the gospel. Persecution have never stopped the Church from doing what Jesus has commissioned it to do, in fact through persecution the gospel spread even more than it would if Christians were not persecuted....this is what we should be more concern about. As Jesus said of Him self, "my food is to preach the gospel." He was not concern about His own safety.
While Christians should pray that the gospel would have free course, the Bible also said that in this world we will be persecuted. Some times, and more often than not, a lack of persecution can cause complacency among Christians, that we become comfortable in this world and get detoured from what we should be doing into things such as politics, forgetting that Christians are not of this world as Jesus was not.
Ever wonder why in the book of Revelation Jesus had to say to some of those in His Church, come out from among her less you share in her sins and partake of her plague? The political system was and will be rife with sin, and one cannot be in it and not get tainted. You don't tell someone that is already out side to come out side...you naturally tell someone that is inside to come out side. God has called His people out of this world, but after we have been called out, some have walked right back into the world.
