Default Re: What's the best story you ever read?

Wow. The best television story ever was Buffy.

But as far as books go I don't think I could possibly pick a favorite. There are just so many really great ones from so many different genres. A big favorite is I am Legend which I can't wait to see on the big screen this December. Wicked was an excellent book and musical. I collect all of King's work and It would probably be my favorite perhaps because it was my introduction to King as a young girl and it scared the crap out of me. I read it while babysitting on a New Year's Eve in a strange house. Some of his newer works are real hit and miss but I loved Cell and Blaze and all the older stuff. Wasn't thrilled with Lisey's Story.

I'm also a big fan of anthropology stories.

And I enjoy pretty much any type of alien lure.

I recently read a really good book called The Land of Laughs by Jonathan Carroll.

But yeah I don't think I could pick my favorite book ever. I'd have trouble narrowing it down to my favorite 100 books ever.
