Agreed. Persecution is a personal definition.
To a person that has lived their life being treated as a subhuman the perception may be different. A similar truth would exist for different cultures.
I am called to include a book written by Willis Augustus Hodges about life in the US in earlier times.

The Bible view is based on a thought process that comes from the person that wrote that book. What the person felt is of more importance, to me, than whayt another would interpret.
