I never said that persecution was easy. I can not speak for those that have been persecuted. I can only base my views on what I and those close to me have been through and experienced. None of us knows for sure what was happening in those peoples minds and what they felt.

You do not have to know what is going on in someone’s mind when you see or read about the hardship/persecution that they went through. I don't have to be sawed in two to know that it’s very painful; I know what pain is. The little pain that I experience tells me that their pain was very great. It also tells me that because they went through a lot more than I possible will ever go through, they will receive a greater reward in the kingdom of God than I would because they had to overcome much more.
