My point was that there would be no way to PROVE that she DOES know, thus making the law unenforcable if she says this.
I think that you have your second point backwards though. The child is not part of the father and the mother; the mother and the father are part of the CHILD. Unless a parent is a danger to the child they should have contact when possible IMO.
