I fully understand the angle they're coming from...AND I agree with it!...
If GM SUCCEEDS as a company that threw capitalism into the dumpster due to government destroying current private free-market entities (like Ford, who did NOT ask for bailout money), then the govrnment will ultimately do that to MORE industries...
...Thus removing free-market enterprise and investment from the country altogether...The same products that BUILT this country for the last 230+ years...
If GM fails, (and I approve of it's failure 100%), it will show the government that taking over free-market enterprises clashes with the principles on which this country was founded...
Simple question that I've asked on this forum before but never got an answer yet...
"When was the last (FIRST!) time the government involved itself in free-market enterprises and ran it successfully?"...(Answer - NEVER)...
