The difference with Mel Gibson's "Passion of the Christ" is that it was a LOUSY movie. It was little more than violence-porn with a religious cover to give it validation. I'm not against the movie because it was about Christ (I'm a Christian) - I'm against it because it's a lousy movie and the right wing Christian zealots in this country got all excited at the slow-motion flogging and blood oozing and made it earn a gazillion dollars.

His anti-semitic rant was illuminating because he had - for YEARS - stated that he disagreed with the stance of his father (a well-known Australian anti-semite and holocaust denier). Then his true feelings were revealed. As hypocrites tend to do - eventually they are unmasked.
