Tris--I agree. This is dealing with public property. What I didn't do very well was specify that what I posted is exactly why Muse (and the Shrub) is wrong in assuming a yellow ribbon implies support for the war.
I have a big problem with public property being used to benefit religions and political stances or to discriminate. My point is that he is wrong in assuming yellow ribbons imply support for the war. They are in support of the troops.
Sorry--but I'm just not going to let the Shrub dictate that my ribbon or lack thereof means I either support the war or am a traitor. That is the trap we're kind of falling into here, regardless of where you stand on this particular issue. The trap is letting the Shrub tell us what we think with respect to our ribbons (among other things).
I am saying he is far too simplistic to know what I think.
