Didn't you think the whole thing was a coincidence that the old war monger in Israel would get to live his favorite fantasy? C'mon. There was a lot of stuff that went on while we were all considering it a "part of the big picture".

In fact all the big countries were using the word "terrorism" to label their favorite nemesis. Both countries who were our allies and not.
But getting back to the last point. Arafat and Palestine were key to peace in that region of the country. The first meeting was the first time a leader of Palestine was invited here in modern times (maybe ever?), that gave legitimacy to his (Arafat's) slipping control over the marginal rebels. Bush dropped the ball here. Clear and simple. And why our President sat on the sidelines and let the Israeli leader drive him into a corner like a dog- for the sake of a 3 thousand year old argument-is beyond my super hero comprehension.
