And the reason I don't like them is because I love a good mystery. I get all excited about the election. I watch the TV etcetera, and some guy comes along and spoils my fun by predicting the outcome.
Before the close election of 2000, they were pretty good at their guessing game (with the exception of Truman and speaking of modern times). And that was a bummer for me.

SOAPBOX TIME!!!!
Then support Vote By Mail, like those of who are blessed enough to live in Oregon get to use. If VBM was a nationwide practice, we could set laws in place that guaranteed that EVERY vote got counted and that no election results would be released prior to a predetermined date. This way, everyone's vote has as much influence as everyone else's, instead of the votes of those further East carrying greater influence. VBM is also cheaper, easier, enfranchises rural voters, physically handicapped people, "shut-ins" and people who are just plain too busy to have to schedule time to vote (like working moms). Call your state reps. and election officials and ask them why your state isn't using VBM. Ask them why they ae wasting your tax dollars on an antiquated voting system. Ask them why they support dienfranchising people by not giving them the easiest and most convenient voting system ever devised.
