People go into vapor lock when homosexuality is discussed in school and is in anyway "normalized". The fact is that when these issues are discussed, things like this tend not to happen.
Possibly -- and I'm not trying to argue with you just now, but the kid that got shot seemed to have a lot more problems than just not being accepted as gay. His actions seemed to be highly provocative, and very unwise.
I don't have time to look it up now, but one commentator today said that there was a story floating around the news somewhere that the principal of the school may have been more encouraging of the behavior than proper, right down to giving the student a strapless green dress. Again, I don't have time right now to look it up, so take that with a grain of salt.
I almost wonder if this was something similar to "suicide by cop," but with students instead.
