Is it normal to point to the hypocrisy and say GOTCHA? Absolutely!!!
At the same time, it points to a much bigger problem in our society that needs to be remedied. Each of these people is a product of their upbringing, and is caught in a self-destructive loop. The actions that they have taken to deny the rights of gay people is a reflection of how they feel about themselves.
There comes a point where Republican and Democrat don't mean anything... That point is where HUMAN is the key. Yes, I do feel a certain satisfaction when an a person that goes against my existence is cut down to size, but is this really what we want to BE as a people? Do we really want to thrive on that as the society does now? As long as people buy newspapers because they want to read about scandal this travesty will continue.
I must be in a bit of a mood tonight, but the only thing that I really want at this moment is for people to learn to respect another's right to BE. It just seems to me that this should not be this ridiculously hard.

Your post made perfect sense to me Sis. But then again, perhaps it's because I've been thinking the same thing myself recently.
I've slowly come to the conclusion, there's a large majority of people that rather then being informed, they'd rather be entertained by smoke, mirrors, and scandal.
