A negative political ad is one in which a candidate attacks another on a PERSONAL level - attacking character and personal reputation.

Of course political candidates attack POLITICAL ideologies and history of opponents. That is the entire point of a campaign - to show that the other one isn't as good a POLITICAL candidate.

Again - you're really struggling to find a problem with this ad where none exists. You don't have to BELIEVE in the ad - but to condemn it as a negative political ad is distortion and untrue.
So you wouldn't have a problem with Sen. McCain running an ad disucussing that issue of Sen. Obama's utter lack of qualification for POTUS? How about an ad showing his "most liberal" voting record? How about showing him as an agent of the Democratic Party Machine? All are 100% true, so would you have a problem with this kind of political ad?
