Didn't he make an attempt on George H. W. Bush's life?
In 1998 President Bill Clinton signed the Iraqi Liberation Act, calling for regime change in Iraq...the removal of Saddam Hussein.
When it came to a vote in Congress in 2001 to approve going to war with Iraq to remove him, the House approved 420-1. The Senate also approved.
At that very time Bush enjoyed an 85% approval rating, and many Democrats who would soon after begin to undermine, attack and blame Bush for going to war made strong....very strong statements of support and approval for the decision to go to war. It makes me sick to think that these people would begin to change their minds so shortly after our men and women crossed the line into harm's way.
Yesterday on Fox News Bob Barr said that he approved of going to war in Iraq but was misled by Bush, not knowing that it was going to be a long, drawn out affair with no end dates in sight. Well, I have news for Bob Barr: Bush stated since day one that this was going to be a long war. Bob Barr better own up to his decision, and he ought to be honest about Bush.
I'm voting for John McCain because I want someone who is going to respond to what our enemies are saying and doing with....warfare.

OBL is probably in Pakistan. The spread of rogue states with nuke programs was facilitated there. The plots on our country are coming from there. They are training there. They may end up with nukes there. The administration refuses to get them there. We had multinational support there. We turned our attention from there. And now because we have turned our attention from Afghanistan the Taliban is gaining strength all over Pakistan.
Saddam was never a serious threat to us. He tried to pull stuff. And we would catch him and shut him down. And even igf you want to make a case for going after Saddam. There was no reason we had to rush. You guys never address all of the early indications the administration was trying to make the connection. You have everyone from Paul O'Niell to Richard Clarke saying they were specifically itching to find a Iraqi connection.
Now given the history. If I was just guessing who was behind 9-11 I would have said Libya at the time. I didn't know about Bin Ladin. But I did know about the flight they bombed over Scotland. Even though Saddam was a dick. It wasn't his M.O.
