While I would not be opposed to this approach,we run the danger of throwing the wheat out with the chaff.We need to change the mindset of the American voter. John Adams was justified in his concern regarding the power of party politics.They place their parties interests above the interests of their constituents and then try to bribe them with their
own money! The voters
see this yet refuse to vote for anyone who does not belong to the big box machine for fear of wasting their vote.Expect "real" change when Americans are willing to vote for a candidate out of principle aside from party affiliation. That kind of change will take decades but it can happen by stepping outside of the partisan trap.Sadly..the two party system is now so well established I see little hope for real change.
