Douche [doosh] and Deutsche [doi-chuh, doich] are not pronounced the same. Very different, but it may be how it sounds to some. I've added a link a redneck pronounciation test, just incase I may be wrong Are You a Yankee or a Rebel? Southern Accent Test

We know how
we pronounce it:
It's Pon
ss de L
Eahn not Ponz
Ay d
Ay Le
On (for the guy who was looking for the fountain of youth), and it's d
ooshmark, d
ooshland.
And while I'm at it yank's mispronounce sherbet all the time. It's like sure-bet with the accent on the sure. Not shurburt.
One of my aunts was from Germany and she pronounced a shower and the word for the feminine product the same. She called them both a dush with a short u sounding like umbrella.
Thanks for the link!

. I took one such test and it said I am from Philadelphia.
