the local/state/federal police are directly or indirectly via surrogates or in tandems with the likes Apple, Microsoft, Google, the phone companies and OTHER TRACKING devices are making Orwell's vision a reality.

It Appears that the official default position is Warrants only count when they get caught. And if caught cloud the issue with technicalities of NEW law... NEW technology that doesn't fit the old law spin and fear of TERRORIST! or DRUGS or FILL IN THE BLANK.
With a side of "we are looking into the incident to be sure all procedures were followed correctly." ...
