When legitimate issues concerning his character are raised, his supporters have a tendency to turn the blind eye to the facts and protect his image at all costs. Oprah does what she does for ratings, and everyone needs a hero.
And yes, many follow him like they would a messiah. Start passing around the kool-aid and read all about it:

I voiced my opinion, now will I get flamed? Will I be accused of smearing his good name? I doubt it, and that is one of the MAIN differences between both forums.

I agree that it is difficult to question Obama without being flamed by his supporters. Its real silly. I am supporting Obama. Not because of any major issue. Not because I dislike McCain. I don't dislike McCain. I used to get mad because I would ask "What do you see in Obama?" And nobody could give me a substantive answer. I still get that. I only get angered when people attack Obama or any candidate with innuendo or phony stuff like "He is a Muslim" Or those type of fear posts that seem to only find a base in peoples fears. I don't like his approach to the cost of education. He proposes larger tax breaks for education. I think using the tax code is a phony political tactic used by pols that don't want to stick their necks out. Now that is a real issue to discuss.
