I most certainly would.

Note: I believe that 49 out of the 50 states require a balanced budget, according to their respective state constitutions. One has to believe that if the states can manage to accomplish this task, so could the federal government. Just give it a little (similar) constitutional prodding...
Republicans unbalanced it in the persona of Ronald Regan, further unbalanced it with the last George Jr tax cuts.

expenditures on the right, revenue on the left. These two figures should match.
