correction. Senator Obama spoke at the Taco Bell Arena, not the Idaho Center.
The crowd was estimated at over fourteen thousand.

Until recently to vote in the primary, one did not have to declare a party. I searched but could not locate information on whether a bill to change that rule passed. But the Dems held a caucus in February and the Republicans hold a primary election on May 27th
