The first version of creation is a grand metaphor and does not refute science. The second creation does. Like Minerva out of Zeus' head. Jesus out of a virgin's body---all mythology.
Lack of education is no excuse for ignorance. Einstienian science states that as gravity increases, time slows. If you take the rate at which would have been flowing at the moment of teh Big Bang (a number we have very good support for), and carry it out to today, we're living in the 6th day since creation (now where have I heard that?). Just because you aren't educated enough to understand Truth, doesn't make it a lie.
