I dont think the question is even relevant in the academic setting. The question is relevant at church but certainly not for the purposes of equipping student with the knowledge they need to be technologically innovative and competitive with the rest of the world. There is no need to address the philosophical in a science class and to do so only raises points of contention that detract from the real lessons.
