you don't get it. it's not about censorship but freedom to hear OTHER viewpoints. The old rule implemented by the FCC did not require anyone to give up their stations it merely mandated that opposing views be presented. AS WELL As that important events be covered. The radio is how a lot of people find out what's happening on the drive into work. We wouldn't want it completely taken over by rap stations if they suddenly gained in popularity just because the "market" mandated it. We would scream bloody murder that we aren't being informed and that the slight news we get from those stations is slanted and emphasized for a narrow group of people.
We need competing views to stay healthy as a people.
