Chuck, there was a news story on all the networks last week about the dropout rate in larger U.S. cities. Several had a dropout rate over 50%.

I think that is what mlurp is referring to, BUT he has confused the story completely. 50% is NOT the dropout rate throughout the U.S.!

Here is a link to a CNN story on the big city dropout rate. it also clarifies what the U.S. graduation rate is.
