By very nature we are a social animal, as our very existance depends upon our ability to cooperate with one another and formulate group strategies for dealing with our survival.

We HAVE to be social to survive. Now, what we call socialism from the political standpoint tends towards a more direct acknowlegement of this fact, but at its most basic level, a certain degree of socialism is quite necessary. HOW MUCH socialism do we want is the question we should be asking.
But socialism brings a DECLINE in society. Whereas the greatest ADVANCES in society and prosperity have come directly from capitalism. So with that in mind make a logical choice. If you choose socialism give me ANY example of a socialist society that has succeeded. If you say capitalism has not been successful then I will point out to you that in SPITE of socialist incurred burdens that keep getting heavier the USA is the example.
