Default Re: Will Democratic Socialism Destroy our Republic?

When I look at the human race, I see animals with teeth and claws that are inadequate as a means of attack, bodies that are soft and flabbly, incapable of warding off predators, slowness of foot and quite lacking in the ability to thrive as a solitary being. By very nature we are a social animal, as our very existance depends upon our ability to cooperate with one another and formulate group strategies for dealing with our survival.

We HAVE to be social to survive. Now, what we call socialism from the political standpoint tends towards a more direct acknowlegement of this fact, but at its most basic level, a certain degree of socialism is quite necessary. HOW MUCH socialism do we want is the question we should be asking.
