This is nearly anti climactic because the first thing that happened after DNA was finally mapped was all the foundations connected with human artifacts started doing studies. Then there were several living human studies.
"Eve" (the oldest until recently?) the human artifact is everybody's grandmother!
But I am glad to see we don't stop there but continue to challenge or clarify other work!
The island my mother's people came to America from was the object of a huge DNA study, due to the fact the people who live there now are pretty indigenous. There was Semite, oriental, African, northern European.........
Plus look at how many times through history it benefited people to change their surname. We have a Masters ancestor from the British occupation of Menorca who turned out to have originally been a Mastre from Italy!
