Yowza!
Separation of church and state???
I can't get the video at the moment.
Is there something else in the context which mitigates what I see as an incredibly frightening statement?

Perfect separation of church and state...
It's Raw Story, so you KNOW it's not true...)I'm not talking about what he said...I'm talking about the BLATANT misinterpretation)....
Two points...
1) According to the first paragraph, Huckabee says that he wats "God" and a mention of religion" in the Constitution...Which is a lie...Nowhere does Huckabee state anything close...
2) What Huckabee is saying is that he'd like to see "o amend the Constitution so it's in God's standards"...
Now I'll give an example of how MOST things in the Constitution are already up to "God's standards"...You can pick any one really...
Randomly, I looked at "Amendment 26 - Voting Age Set to 18 Years"
Question - Does this part of the Constitution CONFLICT with anything from anything construed as "God's standard"(Assuming Judeo-Christian "God)?...
Absolutely not...So Huckabee would believe there's no need to touch it...
DISCLAIMER - IMO, that's probably the way it is for almost, if not everything (I'm no Constitutional expert, so I don't know if anything would reasonably conflict with any "God standard")...
The reasonable question that someone SHOULD'VE asked is "What part of the Constitution do you think needs to be amended...AND HOW?...
IF...IF IF IF IF...Huckabee responded by pointing out that part, THEN said how "God" or "a mention of religion" should be added, THEN Raw Story's first paragraph would be found to be true...
But that didn't happen...So they are liars...
Most of our laws...not just the Constitution...are founded on "God's standard"...I don't think I need to show anything more than simply "Thou shalt not kill" as an example...
