There you go again, going off on how you can't comprehend simple words, admitting you ignore arguments because of it, and then assuming everyone else is just like you and doesn't actually THINK about issues, just cheerleads.
We're not like you. We have opinions and don't ignore things just because we don't like words.
No one ever investigated me. I don't know of anyone who actually was. How was it for you? The Patriot Act hasn't dramatically changed. You just aren't critical of it because Obama and the rest of the Dems now want it. Seems like a simple enough observation.
Oh, and you really whine too much.
First off there has not been a massive expansion in the size and scope of government. That is a fact. As many times as you want to repeat it it hasn't happened. Health care is a problem that is stiffling our country due to the cost to the economy and business. I am progressive. I don't have an issue with government doing collectively what we are unable to do alone. Whether its a healthcare exchange or regulation. In some way we need to get our hands around the problem. What the right seees as a problem is government involvement at all. Thats fine in the abstract. And in the abstract I don't have a problem with that. But there comes a time when only government can effect change. If government does nothing insurers will pick the people who are cheaper to insure and leave the rest of us paying for everyone else. Incremental changes are stepped around by big pharma and big insurance companies. We are capable of fixing this problem with some reason and civil discussion. But who wants that?
As for the patriot act. What was originally rolled out has changed. In wasn't entirley bad but it had problems. Many have been resolved. So now more support it. Why is that a gotcha for you? If a car salesman rolls out a car that is leaking oil I say "no thanks". If they then say "hey we will fix the leak and you can have an independent mechanic inspect it" I say it sounds better and I need the car. What is the issue. Does it mean the salesman pulled one over or that we found a way to work it out? Ya see what I mean?
BTW people were investigated. Peace groups were infiltrated and individuals questioned for no good reason. There were a few crazy things happening out of fear post 9-11. Also why do you think they named it the "Patriot Act"??? So you would look unpatriotic if you didn't support it. You fancy yourself a wordsmith. Words have meaning.
